She
She laughed
With those bright eyes dancing and her head thrown back
Like a poppy flower throwing pollen to the wind.
She sang
With her mouth open and taut with emotion
Like a puppy serenading full moon in October.
She moved
With every part of herself leaping to arrive
Like a yearling in tall grass, weightless with hope.
She listened
With her heart and her mind pursuing wisdom
Like a hawk skydiving on prey with speed and skill.
She loved
With hugs, stories, and adventures, prayers and baked bread
Like loving was the reason for everything else.
